About ThailandAdventures.com

An independent guide to Thailand for people who would rather climb, dive, trek and paddle than sit still.

What this site is

ThailandAdventures.com is a travel portal about adventure and active travel in Thailand. Instead of one long list of sights, it is built from twelve destination guides — Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and the Golden Triangle, Pai and Mae Hong Son, Kanchanaburi and Erawan, Khao Yai, Khao Sok, Krabi and Railay, Phuket and Phang Nga Bay, Koh Phi Phi and Koh Lanta, Koh Samui and Koh Phangan, and Koh Tao — each with its own pages for tours and tickets, things to see, getting there, practical advice and seasons. Country-wide pages cover adventures by activity, itineraries, transport, the practicalities of entry, money and safety, seasons, responsible travel and where to stay.

How we work

  • Facts are hedged on purpose. Timetables, entry rules, park fees and opening hours in Thailand change often. We give approximate figures to help you plan and say “about” or “around” when we mean it; always confirm details with the operator, the park or the authorities before you travel.
  • Tours are real listings. Every tour and ticket we feature is an actual GetYourGuide product that we checked in October 2026, with the rating and review count shown at that time. We choose them for what you actually do on them and tell you when reviews are few.
  • Animal welfare comes first. We do not feature elephant riding, animal shows or tiger attractions, and we point out where a listed tour includes a stop we would skip.
  • Hotels are chosen for location and character. We list three well-placed places to stay per destination and link to Trip.com for live rates. We do not show prices, because they change daily.
  • Photographs are freely licensed. All images come from Wikimedia Commons under Creative Commons or public-domain terms and are credited on our image credits page.

How the site is funded

The site is free to use and carries no display advertising. It is supported by affiliate commissions: if you book a tour through a GetYourGuide link or a hotel through a Trip.com link on these pages, we may receive a commission at no extra cost to you. Our affiliate disclosure explains this in full.

Languages

The guide is published in English, German, French, Russian, Simplified Chinese and Korean. Use the language menu at the top of any page to switch.
