Khao Sok’s activities need boats, guides and park permits, so packages make sense here. GetYourGuide lists trips that start locally in Khao Sok as well as day and overnight tours from Khao Lak, Phuket and Krabi. Read the starting point carefully: a tour “from Khao Lak” will not collect you in Khlong Sok.
These picks were chosen in October 2026 for their itineraries and reviews. Prices are indicative “from” prices in euros; private boats are priced per group, and the national park fee may be payable in cash.

Booking tips
- Park fee. Foreign visitors pay an entry fee of around 300 THB, valid for 24 hours; the lake and the headquarters area count as separate entries on different days.
- Cave closures. Nam Talu cave, a wet through-cave on the lake, is closed in the rainy season after a fatal flash flood in 2007. Never enter river caves when rain threatens.
- Elephant experiences. Choose places with no riding; observation and feeding are preferable to bathing.
- Keep it dry. Bring a dry bag for boats and kayaks, and a light rain jacket in any month.
- Leeches are common on wet trails. Long socks and repellent help; they are harmless.
