Krabi is one of the easiest places in Thailand to book activities in advance. GetYourGuide lists a deep range of trips that start in Ao Nang, Railay or Krabi Town, and almost all of them include hotel pick-up from Ao Nang and Krabi Town. If you are staying on Railay, check the meeting point: most boat tours collect Railay guests from the beach, while inland tours usually ask you to come across to Ao Nang first.
The picks below are the ones we would book ourselves for an active trip, chosen for what you actually do and for the number and quality of their reviews in October 2026. Prices are indicative “from” prices in euros; national park fees are sometimes collected in cash on the day, so read the inclusions before you pay.

Booking tips
- Tides decide the day. Longtails cannot land everywhere at low tide and the Thale Waek sandbar only appears around low water. Operators plan around this; trust their order of stops.
- Park fees. Koh Poda, the Hong Islands, Phi Phi and Phra Nang fall within national parks that charge foreign visitors an entry fee, usually a few hundred baht. Check whether your tour includes it.
- Monsoon months. From about May to October the Andaman Sea is rougher, some island trips are cancelled at short notice and Maya Bay normally closes for a recovery period (in recent years August and September). Climbing, kayaking in the sheltered mangroves and inland tours run all year.
- Climbing safety. Book with an established school, check that helmets are provided, and do not climb on threaded slings or rusty bolts you find in place.
- Free cancellation. Most GetYourGuide listings can be cancelled up to 24 hours ahead — useful when the forecast changes.
